Job Description:
* Job Profile: Medical Coder
* Experience: Between 1 to 4 Years.
* Qualification: BSC/MSC/Any graduate has Min exp 1 Yr Exp in Medical coding
* Mandate Certification: Any Medical Coder certification from AAPC/AHIMA
* Shift: General Shift
Role & Responsibilities :
SDS(Same Day Surgery) Coder:
1. Coders with a minimum of 1+ years of experience in Surgery coding.
2. Certification Mandatory (AAPC/AHIMA). CCS Certification Preferable.
3. Reviews medical records for the determination and accurate
assignment of all documented diagnoses and procedures
4. Assigns and sequence codes based on medical record documentation
5. Assigns appropriate discharge disposition Abstracts and enters coded data and designated quality management data for hospital statistical and reporting requirements
6. Communicates documentation improvement opportunities and coding issues (i.e., discrepancies, physician queries, etc.) to the appropriate personnel for follow up and resolution
